Parkerizing

Parkerizing is a phosphating process which gives a Black or Gray matt finish to ferrous metals.The rough texture of the surface helps hold oils in place. Parkerizing gives better wear resistance than Blueing but not as tough as TAF-1, NP3 or E-Nickel.
